When attempting to update Akaunting and prior to that to install two different apps I received the following error:

sh: 1: : Permission denied

What is the correct fix for this?

Hello Max,

You should ask your hosting company to be sure that PHP CLI executable file is defined/working and its version is 7.2.5 or higher.

You can also set the proper PHP CLI path and set it in the .env file of Akaunting like the following:

PHP_BINARY="/path/to/php"

I am afraid that I am not entirely sure of what you have asked - however, I asked my hosting company and this was there response:

"Thank you for contacting us.

As the server is self-managed this is beyond anything we'd normally handle but you need to specify the path to the correct PHP binary you should not need to update the OS vendor PHP.

The advice you were given seems to be treating it like the is on a shared hosting platform rather than a self-managed server. I recommend going back the support form and mention is it virutal server and not a shared platform."

Could you perhaps suggest to me how this works on VPS?
