Date Range Filter

I would like to be able to view income or expenses or both within a given date range.

i.e i would like to know how much income we took between 2 April - 5 May

Thanks, It relates back to others that have different tax years. The UK Goverment want reports on our tax year which is

6th April - 5th April

The suggestion by Dean is exactly what I had in my mind and wanted to take up. The developers are urged to pay attention to this and arrange extracting income or expense details for a custom range as required by the users.
