Issue with fresh local installation on top of XAMPP

I'm seeing an OpenSSL connectivity issue when trying to connect to akaunting.com:443. I'm trying to understand why is it trying to connect to akaunting.com in the first place. . Is it passing along any sensitive data?

It is trying to connect to our site for version check.
