Adding to the request here - it would be great to have the ability to import from Quickbooks Desktop.

To migrate from QuickBooks Desktop, export your data as QBX or CSV files. Choose a new accounting software compatible with these formats, such as QuickBooks Online or Xero. Import the exported files into the new software, ensuring data mapping and reconciliation. Verify data accuracy and completeness before discontinuing use of QuickBooks Desktop.

Migrating from QuickBooks Desktop to Akaunting can indeed be daunting. One good option is using the Double Entry App, which simplifies the process. First, export your data from QuickBooks Desktop into Excel files. These files should include your chart of accounts, customer and vendor lists, invoices, bills, and other financial data. Then, use the Double Entry App to import this data into Akaunting. The app helps automate parts of the migration, reducing errors and saving time. Some users have successfully accomplished this migration, though it requires careful planning and attention to detail. Seeking assistance from a professional may also help ensure a smooth transition.
