I have the same issue updating from 2.1.27 to 2.1.28. Running on ubuntu 20.04.3LTS which is updated.
Is there a workaround ?

I too am having the same issue. I cannot update from 2.1.27 to 2.1.28.

I tried to update via the web browser which has always worked in the past. It stops at 20% with "Not able to update core".

I also tried to update via command (artisan). I get a little more information from artisan:

The command php artisan update core 1 failed.

Exit Code: 1(General error)

Working directory: /d01/www/akaunting

Output:
================
Not able to get the latest version of core!

Error Output:
================

Not able to update core!

I am also running Ubuntu 20.04.3 LTS (fully updated).

Same here: https://akaunting.com/forum/discussion/general/i-could-no-longer-create-a-bill-after-the-last-upgrade

Something is not right with the upgrades lately.

The previous upgrade did a mess on Missing country, city, etc columns for import files.

Then I updated today, it says: " Not able to download core"

Any advice? Thank you.

Same issue.
Support,
When can we expect this issue to be resolved?
It seems that it has been at least two weeks since users started reporting this issue.
Please advise.
Thanks.
